Kara's new Crib!

Gramma Ski came over to play today and we got Kara's crib put together. The nursery is still under construction so we put it in the living room for now.  After we got it put together, Gramma Ski and Kara had a great conversation... not sure what it was about, but I do know they both enjoyed it. Gramma Ski taught her what a chicken says. I'm sure she'll have even more fun teaching her what a monkey says.
When they were done with their little chat, Kara got tired so we laid her in her beautiful crib. Kara sure looks small in the crib as compared to her bassinet. She was quite comfortable with her favorite blankie... the one that Gramma Williams made for her. She sleeps with it every night.
Well, it's late; time to put our little angel to bed. Sweet dreams Kara!

Kara loves her Cousins

Every Sunday, Kara gets to visit Aunt Rachael's and play with her cousins Gabriel and Gracie. Last Friday, Gabriel got to come play at Kata's house. In this picture Gabriel is talking to Kara. They were so cute.
Kara's cousin Kami loves her too. She loves to talk about cousin Kara and give her kisses. :)

Rubber Duckie is my friend

We just love bath-time! Our favorite part is playing after the bath is all done.
"Rubber Duckie, you're the one,
You make bathtime lots of fun,
Rubber Duckie, I'm awfully fond of you;

(woh woh, bee doh!)

Rubber Duckie, joy of joys,
When I squeeze you, you make noise!
Rubber Duckie, you're my very best friend, it's true!

(doo doo doo doooo, doo doo)

Every day when I
Make my way to the tubby
I find a little fella who's
Cute and yellow and chubby
(rub-a-dub-a-dubby!)

Rubber Duckie, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber duckie, I'm awfully fond of you.

Rubber Duckie, you're so fine
And I'm lucky that you're mine
Rubber duckie, I'm awfully fond of -
Rubber duckie, I'd like a whole pond of -
Rubber duckie I'm awfully fond of you!

(doo doo, be doo.)

The Storms

We had quite a winter storm here last night. Kara loves winter and didn't want to miss any of the storm so she decided to keep us up for over two hours of the storm last night. Thanks to her we got to see it from around 3:30 till 5:30. Sadly we didn't get to hear the wind howling or the ice clinking against the glass... her fussing kinda drowned out all those noises. Oh well, I'm sure there will be more storms; and we'll be sure to greet them all with a smile!

Aunt Rachael loves to babysit

Well, I'm back to singing in the choir now (YAY!!!) and I asked Ben's sister Rachael to watch Kara for us since both of us sing in the choir. Rachael was more than happy to watch Kara for us. Yes, I did have separation anxiety even though I knew Kara was in good hands. This was Kara's first time with a sitter. Anyway, when Rachael brought her to church after our practice, Kara had this adorable bow in her hair. Ben isn't so sure he likes it, but I sure do. Aunt Rachael had fun with Kara and can hardly wait till next Sunday. I'm so thankful for our family!
